Sound Boxes Board

Sound Boxes Board with non-porous surfaces, coated with our superior Earth-Friendly Dry Erase Surface. This two-sided phonemic awareness board helps young learners hear, count, and spell the individual sounds in words. Permanent guidelines are etched and locked onto both sides, so they never wipe away. The board itself is a solid, wood board 1/8" thick. Corners and edges are rounded for safety and durability.

Sound Boxes side: Rows of 2, 3, 4 and 5 sound boxes (Elkonin boxes), numbered so students know how many sounds to listen for. Say a word, then have students tap, push a counter into, or write a letter in one box for each sound they hear.

Sound It Out side: A WORD box, five sound boxes, five dotted circles for counters, a left-to-right blending arrow, and handwriting lines. Students write the word, break it into its sounds, mark each sound, blend it back together, then write the whole word on the lines.
